I was very lucky to get introduced to the incredibly fashionable Ann Vodicka through a friend.

She is a Fashion Coach and it only takes a 7 second glance at her to know that she knows what she’s doing. I first meet her face to face (in the real world) when she came to one of our Community Workshops and in a short space of time I was impressed.

Why?

The simple reason is that you can tell she has the goods. She is intelligent, extremely fashionable, gets that people are different and totally impressed me (and many others) with her applied knowledge…

…The clothing, health, confidence, posture, tonality and the like; it all matters. Make sure you have it (just like Ann Vodicka does).

It takes a brave woman to let someone into the inner sanctum that is their wardrobe but trust me it is worth it! I must confess my wardrobe wasn’t a happy place to be: crowded, disorganised and dysfunctional. I had so many clothes but nothing to wear and would buy outfits that I seldom wore. Ann came to my rescue. I had the basics but just needed to get my confidence back and reintroduce some colour and more jewellery into the mix. I have learnt that less is more, quality over quantity and planning is key. My wardrobe looks great, is functional and I can easily grab what I want. I went shopping the other day and I didn’t buy a thing – no more impulse buying. Ann is ultra professional, friendly and persuasive. Thanks so much for your help, I couldn’t have done it without you.

Several weeks ago, I mentioned to Ann Vodicka that I needed to buy some casual clothes for the summer. Now I am of a ‘larger’ build, I have always found it difficult to find clothes in which I feel comfortable and yet look stylish. I was talking with Ann Vodicka about this predicament and she suggested that I use her to resolve this issue.

We met in Sydney City Centre and it became very obvious to me that Ann had been doing some investigating prior to meeting me. The next three hours were a dream. Ann took me to a couple of stores that I never knew existed and the choice and quality of clothes in these shops were excellent!
There was one particular shop that I really enjoyed. Ann had already discussed with me the colours that I liked as well as introducing the idea of a couple of other colours. I never once felt ‘pushed’ or ‘influenced’ against my will.

We walked through one particular shop and I saw shirts, jackets, trousers, belts, ties and a host of other clothing items and accessories. My fear of ‘will they look ok when I put them on,’ soon disappeared. Ann deftly carried several items of clothing over her arm as we were browsing through this store. I finally went into the changing room and tried on clothes that I really liked and then some that I would never have thought would have suited me but guess what? They did!! Ann kept on bringing clothes and taking out the ones that I really liked. Before I knew it, I had a wardrobe that I was so proud of.

Ann made the difference for me and to be candidly honest, I received several compliments from family and friends. This was a ‘first’ for me. But I was blown away when at a concert the day after I went shopping with Ann, a complete stranger came up to me and complimented me on the outfit I was wearing, courtesy of Ann’s experience. Will I use Ann again? Of course I will!! Thank you Ann.

Like a lot of people I had a wardrobe full of mismatched pieces and nothing to wear. I had my “colours done” more than 20 years ago and thought I knew what suited me. But my session with Ann was a wonderful eye opener. Ann made the it fun, relaxing, informative and comprehensive. We covered everything from fabric colours, patterns and combinations to clothes styles and make up tips. It’s changed the way I shop for clothes and accessories and how I combine the existing pieces in my wardrobe and it really makes a difference. It’s given me the confidence to try colours and styles I once avoided and I must say I’m really, really happy with the results.

My Style consultation with Ann was comfortable, professional, fun and informative. She gave me the tools to choose confidently the clothes and colours that suit my shape and colouring. We also clarified my personal style for business and private times, which made me feel more confident in my skin and individual style. She listened carefully to my ramblings about the image I would like to portray and made sense of it all. She then shared some simple ways tailored to me, to make clothes and colour selection fun and easy. When she did my makeup with the colours tailored for me it inspired me to make some changes in my makeup routine – to be creative and have fun with colour and style. All in all, I have realised, finding out the colours and style that suit me brought about an empowering confidence that will unfold into new exciting places. I would love to say a big thank you to Ann for reminding me I know more than I think I do about my personal style and colour selection.

Ann, thank you for the fantastic job reviewing my wardrobe, the great lesson in make-up application and very productive shopping excursion!  Your enthusiasm, knowledge and attention to detail was absolutely inspiring!  I have learned so much and can now dress to suit my shape and colouring, apply my make-up properly and present myself with a new found confidence 🙂   The entire experience was informative and fun!
